We are so glad you are considering a visit to Marlboro Church! Whether you are new to the area, looking for a church home, or simply interested in learning more about who we are, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive

Who We Are

Marlboro is a multigenerational church located in Farmville, NC, on the western side of Pitt County. Our location allows us to serve families and individuals from the greater Greenville area, Pitt County, and the surrounding counties of Greene, Wilson, and Edgecombe.

We are a church family made up of people from many different backgrounds and generations. At Marlboro, you will find children, teenagers, young adults, families, and senior adults worshiping and serving together. We believe there is a place for everyone, and we want people of all ages and stages of life to feel at home when they walk through our doors.

Most importantly, you will find a friendly and welcoming group of people who genuinely love God and love people. We want to do everything we can to make your first visit a positive and enjoyable experience for you and your family. If you have questions while you are here, please don't hesitate to ask. Someone will be happy to help you.

Our Worship Service

Marlboro Church’s Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.

We describe our worship as a “blended” service because we incorporate elements of both traditional and contemporary worship. Our music

includes traditional hymns as well as contemporary worship songs and musical expressions.

Because we are a multigenerational church, we want our worship services to provide an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to worship together. Our desire is that everything we do would point people toward God as we seek to honor and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our worship service typically includes congregational singing, worship through music, prayer, biblical teaching and preaching, and other elements that help us grow in our relationship with God. We invite you to come ready to worship, learn, and experience fellowship with our church family.

What Should I Wear?

You will find people at Marlboro Church who dress casually, while others prefer to dress more formally for Sunday worship. Some wear jeans, while others may wear dresses, slacks, or other traditional Sunday attire.

There is no particular dress code, and you will not be out of place regardless of what you choose to wear.

Our desire is for you to feel comfortable and welcomed—not concerned about what you are wearing.

Finding Your Way Around

When you arrive at Marlboro Church on Sunday morning, please enter through the front entrance. You will enter into our foyer area, and the sanctuary will be located to your left.

If this is your first visit, please don't hesitate to ask someone for assistance. Our church family and ministry leaders will be glad to help

you find the sanctuary, nursery, children's areas, or any other place you may need to go.

Nursery

We provide a nursery for parents with young children through 2 years of age.

The nursery is available during the worship service, and children may be dropped off before the service begins. Our nursery is conveniently located directly next to our main meeting room, the sanctuary.

We understand that leaving your young child in a nursery for the first time can sometimes feel uncomfortable. Please feel free to ask questions and speak with our nursery workers if you have any concerns. We want both you and your child to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Children’s church

We love having children worship with us!

Children who are 3 years old through 5th grade will remain with their parents in the sanctuary during the music portion of our worship service. Following the music portion, the children will be dismissed to attend Children’s Church.

If you are visiting for the first time, you do not have to worry about knowing where to go. Our children’s ministry leaders will be available to help you and your child find the appropriate location and make the transition as easy as possible.

Our desire is to provide an environment where children can learn about God, grow in their faith, build friendships, and understand that they are an important part of our church family.

You are more than welcome to keep your children with you if that makes you more comfortable on your visit.

mIDDLE sCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Middle and high school students remain in the sanctuary with the rest of the congregation during our Sunday morning worship service.

We believe that students are an important part of the life of our church and encourage them to participate in worship alongside the rest of our church family.

In addition to Sunday morning worship, we offer specific youth activities on Wednesday evenings. More information about our youth ministry and upcoming activities can be found throughout our website.

Sunday School and Bible Studies

Before our Sunday morning worship service, we offer Sunday School and Bible study opportunities beginning at 9:30 a.m.

We have Bible studies for adults as well as Sunday School classes for children. These provide an opportunity to study God’s Word in a smaller group setting, build relationships, ask questions, and grow together in faith.

If you are visiting us for the first time, you are welcome to join us for Sunday School before the worship service.

If you are unsure which class or group would be appropriate for you or your family, simply ask someone when you arrive. We will be happy to help you find the right place.
