Statement of Faith
God
God is the one living, true, and eternal God. He is the creator of all things and ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (fully man, fully God), His virgin birth, and His sinless life. He suffered and died on the cross for our sins (atonement) and was buried. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day and ascended to heaven and will return on the last day to judge the living and the dead.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts people of their sin and draws people to the Savior, Jesus. The Holy Spirit indwells God’s children, empowers believers for service, enables believers to live a fruitful life, leads and guides the believer, and imparts spiritual gifts.
The Bible
The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative source of Christian doctrine and practice consisting of sixty-six books (thirty-nine in the Old Testament, twenty-seven in the New Testament).
Mankind
In the beginning God created mankind in His own image and likeness. But mankind fell into sin with an act of disobedience and rebellion. The result was humans being spiritually depraved, separated from God and unable to attain right standing with God apart from Jesus Christ.
Salvation
Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world so that whosoever believes in Him and repents of their sin, is redeemed by His blood. Apart from forgiveness in Christ, there is eternal separation from God. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection is the only means of salvation for mankind. Jesus is the only way to have eternal life, be forgiven for our sins, and be released from the punishment of sin.
Humanity and Marriage
We affirm that God created every person as male or female. Marriage is the exclusive union of one man and one woman. Sexual activity and intimacy should occur only within the union of marriage.
